Let’s be honest, the Dentist isn’t anyone’s favorite place. But Acierno takes every effort to take the sting out. Dr. Woods is phenomenally patient, thorough, and personable - with some great taste in sneakers, to boot. I moved my kids to Dr. Woods, my in-laws, and my nephews because they deserve the care he gives. Add to that, Carly - the mighty dental assistant who is there with a laugh, a calming word and an obsession with the ancient sport of Bocce. Let’s keep going! Even on your way out, how your insurance and payment is handled with care by Jess is done with care. (More care than she chooses the tv shows she watches I’ll add.) She’s less worried about my credit card than how I’m feeling after my appointment. Acierno is in the business of people first, mouths second. It’s rare; and while I still drag my feet to the dentist - Acierno makes it a great place when I’m finally there.
Today I called Acierno Dental for what will be my very first dentist appointment ever—and wow, was I nervous. I was honestly bracing myself for judgment or awkwardness, but instead, I got Amy on the phone, and she was an absolute gem! She was kind, welcoming, and made me feel completely at ease. She patiently answered all my questions without a hint of judgment and turned what I thought would be a scary phone call into a genuinely uplifting experience. I haven’t even had my appointment yet, but thanks to Amy, I’m actually looking forward to it. Five stars just for the phone call—can’t wait to meet the rest of the team!
